You're in for a challenging, exciting and fun time - and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve. Fencing for Two Whether you've always fancied yourself as the next Errol Flynn, Zorro, Luke Skywalker or Madonna, our introduction to fencing will help give you a real insight into the Olympic sport of fencing. You'll start with a full safety briefing and warmup with a top international coach who will introduce you to the basics, including essential footwork. Then you'll be shown the equipment, including foil and mask and will go through a few techniques, taught to help equip you beat your opponent. You'll learn all the basics and some of the terminology (including some French!) that goes with them, such as the lunge, parry, riposte and feint. Then it's into pairs for duelling and fighting games before you put all you have learned into practise with a battle against an opposing team. Finally, you will be given a demonstration of the three different swords used in fencing (foil, epee and sabre - all used quite differently within the rules of fencing).
