Owl Evening for Two
When it comes to birds of prey, owls are the business. They do everything that the others do - fast flight, precision hunting - but they do it all in the dark. Now that is impressive. It also means that seeing an owl is a rare treat - but on this experience you'll get to spend an evening in their company. Your experience starts outside the centre, where your falconer runs through what you can expect from the evening. Then you'll go on a tour of the owl wood, where you'll see your first owls in their aviaries, and hear them start their spooky evening calls. Back at the centre, enjoy a light snack of soup and sandwiches, before getting up close and personal with these magnificent birds. You'll handle at least four different species, learning all about them, and having some great photo opportunities. Then watch a fantastic owl flying display before ending with a question and answer session.

Eagle Handling Falconry Day for Two
An eagle in flight is incredibly beautiful - but since eagles' natural habitats tend to be very remote, it's also very rare. With this experience you'll have the chance to get up close and personal with this deadly predator, and see their majesty and power first hand. Your experience begins with a guided tour of the bird of prey centre, where you'll see the various eagles in residence and get the chance to learn all about them. Then you'll receive expert one-to-one instruction on how to handle a bird, and find out about how they are trained. After lunch, stride out into beautiful British countryside with your instructor, where you'll fly an eagle to the glove (in Yorkshire get the chance to fly more than one type of eagle). It's an amazing opportunity to see these dramatic birds up close and watch their spellbinding flight - and there can't be many thrills to match the experience of an eagle coming in to land on your glove.

Dolphin and Whale Watching for Two
Lots of people assume that the most exciting thing you're likely to see in the coastal waters round Britain is a mackerel. In fact there is a staggering variety of marine and bird life living happily round our shores - and with this experience you'll get the chance to see it for yourselves. You'll be welcomed before going aboard your boat and heading out. You might see bottlenose, common or striped dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks, minke whales, fin whales, humpback whales (yes, whales and sharks around Britain!), atlantic grey seals and visiting seasonal sea birds including skuas, sabine's gulls and the fabulously-named sooty shearwaters. Of course these are all wild animals so we can't guarantee which ones may make an appearance on the day, but we can guarantee a fascinating and eye-opening experience. Also included in your experience is free entry to the Maritime Museum (to be taken anytime you like during their opening hours on the same day).

Polo Day for Two
Polo: a game that involves hitting a small ball with a long stick whilst travelling at speed on board a vehicle with a mind of its own. Sound insane? It's time to find out for yourself, even if you're not a royal or a snake-hipped Argentinian. And even if you don't know how to ride. You'll start off being briefed on the basic rules and theory of polo by expert instructors, including ball hitting, polo riding, hooking and riding off (don't worry, all the terminology will be explained). Then you'll mount a mechanical horse to learn the basic polo swings. Next you'll mount a polo pony (a real one this time) to improve your skills and take part in a 'stick and ball' session. After a buffet lunch there's a video on game tactics, more stick and ball sessions and finally, instructional chukkas so you can put all your new skills into practice. Fast-paced and skilful, polo is an exciting, challenging sport (even without an HRH).
